Hungry Girl


This is one of my favorite weight loss websites. I actually stumbled across Hungry Girl on the Weight Watchers website. I discovered that you can subscribe to daily emails from her.

Every day she covers a different theme. My favorite theme is when she talks about new healthy products that are available. She has a knack for taking favorite, unhealthy foods, and finding a healthy way to make them. She even has a cookbook out now features these recipes.

1 month later

Well, almost 1 month later. I sort of let this blog fall by the wayside. I was getting my other site up and running. I think that I have that going pretty well, so, I went to Sheila, who designed my first site and had her design this one. She did a pretty good job, don't you think?? (on BOTH of my sites).

Anyway, I would like to say that one month later, I am not 210 pounds. I am actually more like 208 pounds. Not much, but I will take it. I let bad habits fall back into place such as eating out to much, but now I am getting back into the swing of things and would like to use this as a place to document that.

Today

Today I got on the scale and weighed 210 pounds. It's not the most I have ever weighed, but it's close. I decided to start this blog to document that weight loss and to maybe review any weight loss products.

I have not so much started an official diet yet. I am really just trying to eat better. First off I am trying not to eat out as much. I was eating out A LOT. And I mean A LOT. I would stop and get breakfast on my way to work and then go out to lunch. I didn't make the best choices either (i.e. McDonald's Quarter Pounder). Then, sometimes we would go out to dinner.

In just the week that I have stopped this, I am down about 3 lbs. I figure that this is a start. After I can control this for another couple of weeks, I am going to work on my water intake.

Why did I decide to do this here instead of my personal blog? I didn't want to clutter it with my struggles or whining and such. I thought it would be good to have a separate place to document this battle.
